The head baseball coaching position wasted no time in finding and naming a replacement. In four seasons at Flower Mound Marcus, Frank Chumbley led the Marauders to three consecutive 20-win seasons and got the program to the playoffs twice. The Marauders posted a record of 89-41 under his leadership.
Previous to Marcus, Chumbley had stints at San Antonio Highlands (two years), Corpus Christi Carroll (nine years), San Antonio Burbank (seven years) and Harker Heights (one year). The new Panther coach will bring 19 years of experience to the Land of the Legend. He takes over for Pete Southall, who resigned earlier this month to take an assistant position in Rockwall with former Permian coach Scott Smith. |
